Live-edge wooden table on an old sewing-machine base

This unique table was made to individual order by combining an old metal sewing-machine base brought by the customer with a solid-wood tabletop made by us.
The customer owned an old and distinctive country house, so it was important to create a table that would fit organically into the authentic interior and preserve its historic atmosphere. We made and adapted the tabletop to the specific sewing-machine base, carefully balancing the dimensions, proportions and overall visual character.
We preserved the natural texture, expressive grain and live edge of the wood so that the table would look warm, natural and one of a kind. The wood was carefully sanded and treated to highlight its tone, pattern and solid-wood character.
The result was a unique live-edge wooden table combining an old sewing-machine base with an individually made wooden top. It is not only a practical table but also a special interior accent with its own story.
