Personalised wooden tray for a wine bottle and glasses
This handcrafted wooden tray was made to individual order for a customer who wanted something more than a standard serving tray.
This handcrafted wooden tray was made to individual order for a customer who wanted something more than a standard serving tray. The main idea was to create a distinctive and practical design piece that could conveniently hold a wine bottle and glasses while retaining a unique, multi-toned wood pattern.
To avoid a monotonous appearance, we combined several wood species — apple, plum, juniper and small mahogany accents. Each has its own tone, texture and grain, creating a lively, warm and individual overall composition.
The work began by selecting suitable wood blanks. Every element was cut, matched and carefully joined so that the different tones would work together harmoniously. Apple and plum gave the surface rich grain, juniper added special character and a natural feel, while the mahogany details provided a subtle contrast.
Once the base was made, edges were formed, handles installed and a special holder created for the wine bottle and glasses. Every dimension was adapted so that the tray would be not only decorative but also convenient to use.
Finally, the surface was carefully sanded, finished and prepared for personalisation. The customer’s chosen text and musical elements were engraved into the wood, turning the tray into a special and emotional gift.
The result was a personalised wooden tray with a holder for wine glasses and a bottle — a practical, elegant and one-off handcrafted piece. It is suitable for an anniversary, wedding, thank-you gift, home celebration or a special person for whom you want to give something truly unique.
