How a unique juniper wall clock for a sauna interior was made
This juniper wall clock was made to individual order for a customer whose sauna interior already featured juniper panels made by us.
This juniper wall clock was made to individual order for a customer whose sauna interior already featured juniper panels made by us. The customer wanted a special interior accent that would continue the same design language and harmoniously complement the natural juniper finish.
The work began by selecting suitable juniper material. We chose an expressive piece of wood with a natural form, attractive growth rings, branch points and a unique silhouette. Instead of reshaping the wood to a standard template, we preserved its natural curves and character. This approach is precisely what makes every one of our handcrafted pieces unique.
After the material was dried, the juniper was carefully cleaned, shaped and sanded. The work was done gradually to highlight the natural texture, light and dark tones of the wood while preserving the characteristic aroma of juniper. Every curve and surface transition was shaped by hand.
The central section of the clock was made separately and precisely adapted to the overall form. The clock mechanism and decorative hands were incorporated into it, maintaining a balance between practical function and expressive design.
Finally, the clock was carefully inspected, finished and prepared for installation. The result was a unique natural wooden wall clock that works beautifully with the customer’s juniper sauna panels and becomes one of the main accents in the room.
